10.1 SMS Operated Service
Apartfromthemethodsdescribedabove,someofthe servicescanalso2N NetStar
®
beoperatedusingtextmessagessentfrominternalormobilestations.Itisnecessary
to send the SMS in a specific form as requested by your COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
administrator.Ingeneral,rememberthattheserviceaccesscodescan,intheeventof
SMSsetting,besentintheformatspecifiedbytheadministratorwhiletheremaining
partofthetextmessage,whichbearstheinformation,mustbeenteredintheformat
definedintheprevioussections.Thefollowingexamplesaregiventoclarifythis.The
servicesthatcanbeoperatedinthismanneraredesignatedwith'S'inthelastcolumn
ofTable11(seetheexplanatorynoteunderthetable).
Example: Suppose you want to set time to 8:15. The SMS access to the service is
basedonthekeytext'Time'.YourtimesettingSMSwillthusbeTime0815andshould
besenttothenumberspecifiedbytheadministrator.
Example:Supposeyouwanttoforwardallcallstotheuserofstation101.TheSMS
accesstotheserviceisbasedonthekeytext'CFUuser'.YourforwardingsettingSMS
will thus be CFU user 101 and should be sent to the number specified by the
administrator.
Example:Supposeyouwanttoactivatealertingofastationbycallingtheuser.The
SMSaccesstotheserviceisbasedonthekeytext'*55'.YourringingsettingSMSwill
thus have the form *55 and should be sent to the number specified by the
administratorfromthestationtobeset.
