8.2 Profile Presentation Text Setting
Apresentationtextcanbesetforeachprofiletobedisplayedtothecallingsubscribers
(using the key system phones). The text can be set using the SMS2N StarPoint
®
only (not by a call). Basically, two types of presentation text settings are available
dependingonwhere therelevantSMSis sentfrom.Alwayssetthe presentationtext
forthecurrentlyactiveprofile(orano–profilestatus).

Setting from Internal Station
You can send the new SMS directly to the service access number from an internal
station.
Example:Supposeyouwanttosetthe"I'moutforlunch"presentationfortheLunch
profile (number 5). Dial *605# to activate the profile. Write an SMS ("I'm out for
lunch")andsenditto*61.WheneveracallcomeswithintheactiveLunchprofile,the
callingsubscriber's phonewilldisplaythe"I'moutforlunch"text.2N StarPoint

Similarly,youcansendtheSMSusingthe or2N NetStarAssistant
®
trayiconapplications.However,theseapplicationsprovideeasier
profileactivationandpresentationtextsettingprocedures.
Setting from External Station
You cannot send the SMS directly to the service access number from an external
station because you have to send it to the communication system first. For this
purpose,youradministratorwillhelpyousetthetextrouterforroutingSMS.TheSMS
willhaveamorecomplexformandwillbesenttothenumberoftheSIMcardinstalled
inthecommunicationsystem.
Example:Supposeyouwanttosetthe"I'moutforlunch"presentationfortheLunch
profile (number 5) but you are out of your office. First send an SMS in the *605#
formattotheappropriatecommunicationsystemSIMcardnumber(774406458,e.g.)
from the external station to activate the Lunch profile. Now send another SMS
"*61_I'moutforlunch"tothesameSIMcardnumberfromthesameexternalstation
Whenever a call comes within the active Lunch Profile, the calling subscriber's 2N

phonewilldisplaythe"I'moutforlunch"text.StarPoint
